As a kid I spent hours drawing out of Ed Emberley books and one of the first more “shaped” things my daughter drew was happy grapes from Ed Emberley’s Big Purple Drawing Book (she drew grapes everywhere). What’s best is he has books that are perfect for this spookier time of year. The images on this post were drawn from Ed Emberly’s Drawing Book of Weirdos (super awesome). But there’s also his Drawing Book of Halloween and Drawing Book of Faces. Images from these books are perfect for Halloween banners, cards etc… and you can get the kids involved in drawing the characters (but kids aren’t required, these books are fun for anyone looking for a good doodle session). So get drawing some weirdos and I’ll see you in a few days. (& check out Ed Emberley’s web site)
Also, found this blog where someone has translated an Ed Emberley doodle in to a quilt piece.

I love Ed Emberley and have all of his books! You are right, his drawings are perfect for Halloween. Have a good vacation!
