Get the Glue and Glitter! Have a Valentines Making Party with Your Friends

I just hosted a Valentine making party

and it was a blast.

First off, my daughter and I made a silly kitschy Valentine centerpiece with everything from a $1.oo store. I’m afraid I didn’t take a pic of it until after folks had raided most of the lollipops, but I think you can get the idea. We also made brownies and served ginger snaps and little pink marshmallow cookies (all from the $1.00 store).

I know we all love pretty printables and fancy stationery; but there’s something quite lovely about cutting out magazine pictures and pretty paper and then gluing on doilies and buttons and glitter. Add some lovely doodles and a funny, strange, or loving sentiment and you’ve got yourself a valentine. Everyone brought supplies to share, making it inexpensive and fun to try all kinds of materials.

Take a look at the cards

that were made during our paper crafting session.

All that glue and hand doodling really says

“I love you” to your Valentine.

Supplies used included: buttons, Milagros, glitter, doilies, magazine pages, old pin-up calendars, stickers, origami paper, markers, craft felt, glue, Mod Podge, ……

I would love to hear from you.
